A special 2025 plea to Chesapeake Landing Property Owners

The Chesapeake Landing Community Association is asking for your membership, your voice and your assistance in maintaining our unique forested waterside community.

Your membership makes the community better for everyone and increases property values by:

Bringing additional revenue to aid in the upkeep and improvements to our properties, such as:

  • Supplemental Lighting on Buck Neck Rd
  • Maintaining Sign and lawn at entry
  • Liaison to the county roads for improvements on roads, ditches and culverts and illegal dumping removals
  • Improving the marinas and pond areas and adding to their security
  • Facilitating bi-annual litter pickup by volunteer members
  • Restoration and Maintenance of the clubhouse
        • Receiving the email newsletter plus any additional updates or information regarding the community
          • Annual events such as the Fall Picnic cookout.
          • Use of the Pond, Marinas and clubhouse areas, which are private property for paid-member use only. Members are given the gate lock combination so they can drive in to the Mill Creek marina or Turtle pond to bring boats or kayaks to the water. Please note that no vehicles are allowed in those areas after dark.
          • All of these aspects not only increase property values but also the safety and enjoyment of our community.
          • Currently the membership and dock fees based on the number of current members barely cover the insurance costs for the marinas and clubhouse, lights on Buck Neck and Marinas and the lawn mowing. Additional member income is needed to cover more improvements and maintenance of the marinas, pond and clubhouse.Your participation in this membership drive is vital to the community. We cannot do this without additional member fees and assistance.
          • Some recent accomplishments:
          • Upkeep of all green areas at the marinas, the entry and the Clubhouse lawn
          • Removing a fallen tree from the Pond overflow drain  (nearly $1000. Cost to us) and installing a safety cover over it.
          • A new gate to replace the broken rusted one at Mill Creek Landing entrance and new signage there and at the pond entrance gate.
          • In 2022 we had the leaky roof of the clubhouse repaired.
          • Electricity for security light restored at Mill Creek Marina.
          • Regrading the washed-out road to Mill Creek Marina.
          • Replacement of dock boards at Mill Creek Marina.
          • A new kayak rack at the Millcreek marina. [There are two spaces available out of the 6 created. Please contact theLandingMembers@gmail.com to sign up for a space. First come first serve.  You must be a paid member and pay an additional $40 a year for the kayak rack use.]
          • This new website which will give information and contacts for new or current members.
